Payment Policy

Last updated 2026-10-21

Mokizen is free to use. Mokizen Pro is an optional paid subscription to the Mokizen digital service (no physical goods are shipped). This policy explains how you order Pro, how payment works, how renewals and cancellation work, and what payment data we receive. It applies together with our Terms of Service, Refund Policy and Complaints Policy.

1. What you buy and what it costs

Mokizen Pro is sold as a monthly or a yearly plan. What Pro includes is listed in the Free and Pro section of mokizen.com/about and in the Upgrade dialog. The price, currency and billing period of each plan are shown in the Upgrade dialog (editor: File → Upgrade to Pro) and again on the payment page of the provider before you confirm; the amount charged is the one on that payment page.

2. How to order

3. Paying on the web

Card payments on mokizen.com are processed by Polar (polar.sh), which acts as our reseller and merchant of record: Polar charges your card, issues the receipt and handles sales tax. You enter your card details on Polar's payment page, not on mokizen.com. Card plans are subscriptions that renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. If your card is not in the plan's currency, your bank may add a currency-conversion fee.

If the Upgrade dialog offers VietQR / bank transfer (processed by payOS), that is a one-off payment for a fixed 30 or 365 days of Pro that does not renew.

4. Paying in the Mokizen apps

In the iOS app, Pro is sold through Apple In-App Purchase and billed to your Apple ID; in the Android app, through Google Play Billing and billed to your Google account. The store sets the local price shown on its payment sheet, charges you and sends the receipt. RevenueCat (our subscription processor) receives the purchase receipt and an account identifier so Pro is unlocked on your Mokizen account, on the web too.

5. Payment data and security

We never see or store your card or bank-account details: they are entered with and kept by Polar, payOS, Apple or Google. We receive and keep only what is needed to run Pro — the account email, the plan, the payment status, the time and the period it pays for. All pages and payment requests use encrypted connections (HTTPS), and payment notifications from providers are signature-checked before Pro is granted.

6. Receipts and invoices

The receipt or invoice for each payment is sent by email by the provider that charged you (Polar, payOS, Apple or Google) to the email used for the payment. If you need a copy, contact us with the date and amount and we will help you get it from the provider.

7. Renewals and cancelling

8. Refunds, billing errors and complaints

Refunds and billing errors are handled as described in our Refund Policy (mokizen.com/refund). Payment problems and other complaints are handled under our Complaints Policy (mokizen.com/complaints).
