3D aquarium and terrarium editor
The MOKIZEN editor is a free 3D editor in the browser for designing planted aquariums, terrariums and paludariums. You place plants, moss, stones, driftwood, lamps and fish in a glass tank, see them in real-time WebGL, and watch the planting grow over 90 days — nothing to install.
What can you do in the editor?
- Add items from a catalog of 806 plants, stones, wood, decor, corals, creatures and effects.
- Move, rotate and scale with a gizmo; objects settle onto the ground and are kept from clipping into each other.
- Group objects, name the groups, and hide or lock them from the Objects panel.
- Place lamps: each lamp casts its own beam and colours only the area under it, so several lamps can have different colours.
- Scrub the growth timeline to see the plants fill in over 90 days.
- Undo and redo, keyboard shortcuts, and touch controls on phones and tablets.
How do you start a tank?
- Pick an empty tank, a curated world or a generated layout.
- Set the tank size, shape and substrate.
- Add the hardscape first — stones and wood — then plants from the back to the front.
- Add lamps and fish, then save, share a link or export an image.
What can you export?
Images in Full HD (4K with Pro), video and GIF, a share link, the scene as JSON, a shopping list of every plant and stone you used, and an AR model to see the tank at real size through your phone.
Is the editor free?
Yes. A free account can place up to 60 objects per tank. Pro removes ads and the object limit and adds 4K and watermark-free exports.
